One of the last Ukrainian bases in Crimea falls

“Fireworks,” mumbled my friend hopefully, when we were woken by muffled bangs at 4 am in Feodosia.

It wasn’t fireworks, of course. It was stun grenades, helicopters, machine gun fire, and the end of the elite Ukrainian marine battalion in Crimea.
