Romantic London town

Frozen roses in Regent’s Park; slightly crisp, still scented, like chill remote ghosts of summer. Everyone out walking, feeding and photographing the wildlife. From the top of Primrose Hill, the setting sun turns London into a golden dazzle. A little girl asks her dad, “What’s that, daddy, that looks like a falling star?” “Oh, just a crane, darling…”
